Cash Operations Representative Details

This position is responsible for performing all duties of the cash operations department in accordance to the Lucky Dog Casino Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and associated task guides. The cash operations positions are vault, cashier and drop/soft count team member.

VAULT CASHIER:


  • Deliver outstanding internal and external customer service as a priority.
  • Receive, verify and document all currency and coin from food & beverage banks, event banks, ATR/ATM cassettes, soft count deposits, and bi-weekly banking deliveries.
  • Prepare, document and fill currency for automated teller redemption (ATR) machine and automated teller machine (ATM) cassettes.
  • Create bank deposits as authorized by management.
  • Assure reconciliation of all associated transactions.
  • Use approved forms, hardware, and software to account for currency in the Vault.
  • Assures the vault is balanced for any given shift.
  • Work with surveillance and the TGA according to procedure.


DROP/SOFT COUNT:


  • Responsible for conducting the gaming machine bill validator (BV) drop in conjunction with the security department.
  • Assures the approved drop route is followed.
  • Count incoming cash and items of monetary value from the BVs and ATR drop boxes.
  • Verify, bundle and band currency according to procedure.
  • Complete required processes and associated paperwork during and at the end of the count.
  • Follow Soft Count policies and Internal Control Standards (ICs) while completing job functions.
  • Record all transactions and report variances and errors.
  • Transfer counted currency to Vault employee.
  • Responsible for the proper operation of electronic devices.
  • Keep area free of non-approved extraneous items.
  • Work with surveillance and the TGA according to procedure.

QUALIFICATIONS:

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:


High school diploma or general education degree (GED); six (6) months to one (1) year of related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.


LANGUAGE SKILLS:


Read, write, speak and understand English. Read, write and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients and other employees of the organization.


MATHEMATICAL SKILLS:


Add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals; compute rate, ratio, and percent.


COMPUTER SKILLS:


Must have working knowledge of computers and be familiar with Microsoft Word.


REASONING ABILITY:


Apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions. Deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.


CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS:


Class III gaming license issued from the Skokomish Tribal Gaming Commission, and a valid Washington State Driver’s License.
