Performs delegated nursing tasks for which competence is demonstrated through the Care Partner skills checklist. Ability to read, write and perform basic arithmetic calculations at a level preferably acquired through completion of a high school education or equivalent. Registered with the State of Wisconsin Registry for Nursing Assistants/Home Health Aides to be eligible for employment in the basic provider settings plus federally certified home health agencies and hospices. Current CPR certification - Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers through American Heart or American Red Cross is required. Possesses and competently demonstrates core Care Partner skills as outlined in the skill competency checklist and understands the role of performing delegated tasks. Possesses a willingness and the initiative to successfully complete educational requirements while developing and learning new skills as required by the unit. Possesses effective interpersonal and communication skills necessary to interact courteously and tactfully with patients, parents/families and members of the health care team. Possesses rudimentary assessment and analytical skills in order to perform basic patient observations. two part time 12 hour night shift positions that have set cyclic schedules so WILL NOT BE CONSIDERING STUDENTS 1900-0730. Cyclical schedules are as follows with rotating holidays. Position One: Week 2: Sunday, Thursday Week 3: Tuesday, Wednesday Position Two: Week 1: Monday, Tuesday Week 2: Friday, Saturday Week 3: Sunday, Thursday Children's Wisconsin is an equal opportunity / affirmative action employer.
