This role is a very multi-faceted, fast-paced position. The Youth Program Specialist must love and embrace not only the camp environment but also the camp philosophy that campers come first, we work as a team, and summer is a time to play, learn, and grow. The Youth Program Specialist will develop and prepare activity plans for 4-6 camp groups (~25 campers per group) per day, while assuring that activities are skill and age appropriate for campers entering grades K-6. Activity areas that must be planned daily include arts and crafts, music and drama, sports and games, and nature and outdoor education. In addition to these traditional interest areas, camp specialists may develop and facilitate any activity that is fun and age appropriate including other interests such as cooking, mindfulness, cultural learning, science, local history, engineering, weather etc. Work schedule is 37.5 hours per week, M-F 8:45am – 4:00pm, from June 21 – August 20, 2021. Pay range: $14.75-$23.50/hour, based on qualifications and experience. Applications will continue to be accepted until the position is filled.
