Citarella, The Ultimate Gourmet Market, is seeking an experienced Cake Decorator well-versed in high volume cake decorating and icing production, assisting in batter preparation, and various other high volume baking tasks. Our Cake Decorators will integrate into the pastry team to help facilitate daily preparation and production of large and small volume pastry items while ensuring the highest level of quality in our product.

Schedule: Full Time, 5am-2pm

Job Qualifications:

• Cut, stack, ice, and decorate various types of cakes
• Professional work ethic and effective communication skills
• Ability to take direction and follow recipes
• Ability to work with buttercream and whipped frostings
• Proficiency in all aspects of pastry and baking including but not limited to cakes, pies, chocolates, confections, and individual and production pastries
• Ability to work independently, resourcefully, and meet hard deadlines
• Ability to meet physical demands including extended periods of standing and walking throughout the day; able to lift and carry 25-50 pounds, push/ pull up to 50 pounds
• Must be able to work holidays and weekends
