Major Purpose: The primary responsibility of a Busser is the cleanliness of the entire restaurant and its perimeters, as well as assisting servers with refills and clearing tables.
Major Responsibilities:
- Understand and demonstrate our “You First” mission
- Demonstrates “You First” attitude with other employees and customers through teamwork
- Welcome and greet customers upon arrival, and thank customers as they are leaving
- Assist with maintaining service areas – stocking and cleanliness
- Assist servers in clearing tables in a quick and efficient manner (within 4½ minutes)
- Rolling silverware as needed
- Sweeping and mopping floors as required
- Continuous monitoring of restroom cleanliness
- Stocking restrooms as needed
- Cleanliness of booster chairs and highchairs
- Light dusting and other housekeeping duties
- Assists with cleanliness and organization of the dish area
- Communicate any customer requests to server immediately
- Communicate with servers/hosts to assure efficient seating and table utilization
- Assist servers as needed with food delivery, especially with large parties and during peak periods
- Available to fill in as needed to ensure the smooth and efficient operation of the restaurant as directed by management
- No previous restaurant experience is required
- Punctuality and regular and reliable attendance
- Honesty and integrity
- Must be at least 18 years of age
- Must be able to effectively communicate with customers, management and coworkers
- Basic math, reading and writing skills
- Multi-task oriented – ability to perform multiple job functions at one time
- Follows workplace safety procedures, such as hand washing and food sanitation
- Physical activity includes, continuous walking, standing, bending and lifting (up to 50 lbs.)
- Moderate exposure to extreme temperatures
- Must report to work in a neat, clean uniform and present a well-groomed, hygienic appearance
