Prescott House, a skilled nursing facility in North Andover, MA, is currently seeking a full-time candidate for the Business Office Manager position. This position requires either a high school degree or a BA in Accounting or Business with a minimum of 3 years of experience working in the business office of a healthcare facility.
Duties include:
  • Sets up and maintains financial files for resident billing, admission papers, State and Medicare documents
  • Works all aspects of the Medicaid Application process
  • Responsible for Private Pay and Patient Liability billing
  • Pursues and documents the collection efforts on all past due accounts for assigned payors
  • Posts all cash receipts for Private Pay, Patient Liability and misc items
  • Distributes and audits Petty Cash
  • Manages Patient/Resident Trust Fund
  • Attends Medicare and Managed Care Meetings, responsible for relaying information to the CBO biller
  • Assists the CBO with all documentation necessary to bill patient accounts
  • Scan all checks received by the facility
  • Completes Rep Payee forms
  • Manages the Receptionist and Weekend Receptionist positions
  • Opens and distributes mail
  • Performs additional duties as assigned
Requirements Include:
  • 3-5 years’ experience managing the business office of a healthcare facility (SNF preferred)
  • Preferred experience with Point Click Care Software
  • Candidates must be detail oriented with excellent computer skills
