The Latin America team markets and sells CONMED’s entire product portfolio via 150 distributors across more than 30 countries, including the major markets of Brazil, Colombia, Mexico, Argentina, Chile, Central America and the Caribbean. We are seeking a motivated bilingual student (Spanish speaking) to join the Latin American team for a summer internship.


As a Business Intelligence and Operations Intern, you will work with a diverse set of tools, potentially including macroeconomic and competitive research, training materials, and business reports and metrics. This is an excellent opportunity for a finance, business, or Human Kinetics student seeking a robust internship within a growing international medical device company!


The Intern’s responsibilities will include:

Business Intelligence:

  • Looking at the geographies and data mining to help determine market segmentation, optimal channel changes, market size, etc.
  • Support with Socio/economical study for LatAm countries
  • Post-COVID economical reactivation per country and 2021-2022 forecasts
  • Work with Marketing to update competitive cross reference list
  • Research competitors and outline portfolios

Medical Education:

  • Support with Webinar attendance statistics and recommendations
  • Aid in the support and orchestration of cadaveric labs held and LatAm Academy courses in conjunction with the LatAm Medical Education Manager

Forecasting:

  • Support Regional Business Managers and Operations on continued efforts to refine the forecasting process

Regulatory:

  • Support regulatory team with completing the registration database and Regulatory Information Management (RIM) 2.0 rollout reporting for LatAm

Position Requirements:

  • Pursuing completion of a bachelor’s degree in finance, business, biomedical engineering, healthcare administration or a related field
  • Fluent in Spanish language highly preferred
  • Relevant academic projects and/or internship experience
  • Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint and Word preferably)
  • Good communication skills, ability to work effectively taking care of multiple projects at the same time and executing them in a timely manner
  • Must be available to work remotely 40 hours per week, Monday-Friday, from June 1 – July 30, 2021
