General Summary

The Business Intelligence Analyst position is responsible for providing analysis expertise and application development of company business analytics through existing business intelligence and reporting platforms. Role will collaborate with business stakeholders to gather reporting requirements, consult on effective performance measurements and develop necessary reporting dashboards that execute against strategic business plans. Through collaboration with stakeholders, Business Intelligence Analyst will realize business trends and foresight to support business growth and efficiencies. Role will promote innovative user interface design solutions that highlight business intelligence features and functionality sets. Business Intelligence Analyst will provide post-implementation maintenance support with continuous effort to maintain latest analytics based on evolving business drivers and business model transitions. Team Member will provide significant contributions towards IT Department’s promotion of self-service business intelligence environment with focus on user community, platform promotions, and change management initiatives.

Essential Job Responsibilities

• Design and develop Power BI reports and dashboards for key business areas in Sales & Marketing, Forecasting, Operations, etc.
• Gather data from various source systems and database, cleanse, transform and prepare data for reporting and dashboard analysis.
• Collaborate with business stakeholders to define and implement dashboard design best practices and insightful visualization to realize business goals and metrics.
• Translate and document business requirements into technical requirements to implement Business Intelligence solutions.
• Conduct strong data analysis reviews and creation of new data models.
• Manage Business Intelligence application deployments, testing, and change management process.
• Monitor data integrity of reporting and data management systems ; daily dashboard validation process.
• Participate in the peer review process to ensure all reports are reviewed before distribution.
• Provide user training and support to ensure full understanding and utilization of delivered Business Intelligence solution .
• Create documentation to support application and/or business analytics models and issue resolution.
• Project meeting facilitation and project schedule management.

Miscellaneous Job Responsibilities

• Support Data Services team with database design and requirements.
• Collaborating with global teams to accomplish established project goals and deliverables.
• Research industry trends and best practices.

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Business Administration, or equivalent.
• 3+ years in-depth hands-on experience developing and designing Power BI data models, reports and dashboards.
• Advanced level DAX utilization and Power Query scripting.
• Designing applications that support complex and heavy data requirements.
• Experience extracting data from a vast number of disparate data sources.
• Organized testing and deployment methodologies.
• Strong dashboard design experience to provide direction for effective summary level and detail level dashboards analysis with insightful data visualizations to provide positive user experiences.
• Advanced business and data analysis skills to translate business requirements to technical requirements.
• Solid problem-solving skills and methods with innovative solution-driven implementation abilities.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills with strong abilities to teach others.
• Strong documentation and presentation skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• SQL or Oracle DB design fundamentals and scripting skills.
• PowerBi Gateway server and PowerBi administration skillset.
• Background in working with other Business Intelligence software solutions.
• Background in developing dashboards for support Sales, Marketing, Operations and Finance stakeholders.
