Business Development and Marketing Coordinator - ESG

We have an exciting opportunity for a Business Development and Marketing Coordinator to support the Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) group at Eversheds Sutherland (US) LLP. We are searching for someone who wants to be a valued contributor and member of a talented and dynamic team of lawyers, paralegals and staff.
The Business Development and Marketing Coordinator will work closely with the Business Development Lead of Global ESG as well as the partners and other business members who support Global ESG, and be an integral member of the Global ESG Leadership Team. The Business Development and Marketing Coordinator is responsible for working across practices and sectors to promote our Global ESG service offering to the market.
Responsibilities and Duties:
Assists in the development of content for website, brochures, capabilities statements, podcasts, presentations, internal communications, external announcements and other marketing materials relevant to ESG. - Supports RFP and proposal responses regarding ESG by drafting and editing materials, and coordinating responses from other firm administrative and practice groups, as needed.
- Supports the firm’s participation in ESG-related conferences, events, seminars/webinars, marketing communications and online presence, aligning with Business Development and Marketing colleagues in relevant practices and sectors, to execute each aspect of the campaigns.
- Coordinates competitive intelligence requests with the firm’s Research Team and serves as back-up for minor research requests, as needed.
- Drafts and edits responses for submissions to listings, directories and awards submissions (Chambers, Legal 500, etc.), as needed for ESG.
- Organizes agendas for regular ESG stakeholder meetings, including weekly ESG Leadership Team meetings, bi-monthly ESG Strategy Team meetings and quarterly ESG Solutions Team meetings.
- Maintains internal ESG worksite to post the most updated collateral materials, events calendar and notable experience to the site.
- Interacts with members of the firm’s Responsible Business Team and Sustainability Committee to help ensure a coordinated approach between the firm’s internal Responsible Business and Sustainability programs and external market-facing ESG initiatives. Supports joint programs, as needed.
- Assists with and implements other special projects or tasks, as needed and as assigned by the Global ESG Business Development Lead or other members of the Global ESG Leadership Team.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
A Bachelor’s degree in Business, Communications, Marketing, Public Relations or a similar field from an accredited college or university is required. - 2-3 years of marketing and business development experience in a multi-office law firm or other professional services environment are required.
- The ideal candidate will have at least a foundational understanding of ESG issues and the ways that a legal services provider can support clients in achieving their ESG objectives. At a minimum, candidates should have a strong interest in learning about ESG issues.
- Excellent interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills are required.
- Must be a self-starter, highly organized and comfortable working in a deadline-intensive, fast-paced environment.
- Strong attention to detail, including excellent proofing and editing skills, is required.
- Must be able to prioritize and manage multiple projects and deadlines while maintaining a positive attitude.
- Strong Microsoft Office capabilities (Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint) are required.
- Ability to handle confidential and sensitive information with appropriate discretion is required.
