Analyst Business Integration

JOB SUMMARY

The IT Business Integration Analyst has a critical role in supporting IT Business Partners and Project Managers, and in creating a key interface with the business users, in their specified functional area within Global IT.

In a project and business advisory capacity, the Business Analyst gathers information, designs and documents processes, develops technical documentation, elicits both business and functional requirements, and confirms final documentation with the business stakeholders. They proactively share knowledge of technology, challenges, and opportunities to assist the business in meeting strategic objectives and are hands on in aiding with user acceptance testing, developing appropriate analytical analysis and reports, and in user training as appropriate.

The Business Analyst also supports Global IT in business technology strategic development in solution discovery and risk management, through experience, learning and partner liaison, and in communicating relevant project information regarding business unit requests and projects as needed to the project management function.

To succeed in this role, you should have a natural analytical way of thinking and be able to explain difficult concepts to non-technical users.


ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Evaluating business processes, anticipating requirements, identifying areas for improvement, and assisting in solution development proposals.
  • Leading ongoing reviews of business processes and developing optimization strategies.
  • Understand business cases and objectives.
  • Performing requirements analysis and elicitation and documenting as required.
  • Developing technical documentation (context diagram/class diagram/ERD).
  • Assisting in project scope and boundary development, KPI development and monitoring performance.
  • Producing useful reporting and analytical analysis.
  • Conducting meetings and presentations with cross regional teams, to share ideas and findings.
  • Effectively communicating results and status to cross-functional team members and management within both IT and assigned business functions.
  • Working closely with business users, IT business partners, project managers, solutioning teams, and managerial staff.
  • Supporting business through system administration activities on key business systems, when required.
  • Ensuring solutions meet business needs and requirements.
  • Conducting user acceptance testing.
  • Training users where required and supporting process best practice.
  • Supporting change management.
  • Monitoring deliverables and ensuring timely completion of projects.
  • Staying up to date on the latest process and IT advancements.


EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:

  • Bachelor's Degree – IT systems, Business Management, or other related field or equivalent work experiences.
  • 3+ years of IT and business/industry work experience, preferably in a Manufacturing organization.
  • Experience in Business analysis or a related field
  • Experience in developing context/process flow diagrams
  • Experience in Project Management
  • Experience developing business cases, building ROI
  • Experience with Microsoft Power BI & the Power Platform.
  • A history of managing and supporting successful projects
  • Experience creating details reports and giving presentations


Preferred:

  • Experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 for Sales & Service
  • SAP ECC – Sales Distribution experience
  • Previous knowledge/experience with the Microsoft Office Suite, including OneNote, Teams, SharePoint would be advantageous

  • Ability to teach in effective training sessions maintaining user engagement.
  • Highly Motivated & dedicated
  • Advocate/representative of IT
  • Competency in Microsoft applications including Word, Excel, and Outlook.


WORKING ENVIRONMENT:

  • Some overtime or adjusted hours required
  • Limited travel required
