DutiesSummaryThis position is within the Directorate of Family and Morale, Welfare and Recreation (FMWR) at Fort Drum, Northern New York. FMWR encompasses responsibility for Child and Youth Services, Community Recreation, Business Operations and Support Services. These programs and services enable Soldier readiness, and support the resiliency and well-being of Soldiers and Families.
Responsibilities- Maintains, adjusts, and repairs a variety of bowling equipment having mechanical, electrical and electronic parts, components and assemblies.
- Diagnoses equipment malfunctions, but referring to manufacturer's diagrams and specifications, schematics, and wiring diagrams using test equipment such as continuity testers, voltmeters, ohmmeters and feeler gages.
- Conducts operational checks, visually checking for worn or damaged parts, traces wiring, disassembles, and makes necessary adjustments, repairs or replaces defective parts, cleans, lubricates, and reassembles the equipment.
- Follows preventive schedules.
- Makes such repairs and adjustments as re-timing cams and gears; measuring and regulating the sweep of rakes; replacing broken or worn pins, rods, brushes, bolts, belts, tension springs; filing contact points; and cleaning and lubricating parts.

- Meet qualification/eligibility/background requirements for this position.
- A one year probationary period may be required.
- Satisfactorily complete an employment verification (E-Verify) check.

- Satisfactory completion of pre-employment background checks in accordance with AR 215-3, para.2 to include a Tier 1 background investigation.

QualificationsAll candidates MUST meet the following minimum qualifications:- Work experience directly related to the duties describe above.
- Knowledge of electrical principles and operating characteristics of electrical and electronic components for application as in the duties described.

- A Federal Wage System (NA, NL, or NS position) employee will be paid a night shift differential of 7.5 percent for the entire shift when a majority of the employee's regularly scheduled non-overtime hours of work falls between the hours of 1500 and 2400.
- A Federal Wage System (NA, NL, or NS position) employee will be paid a night shift differential of 10 percent of the scheduled rate if the majority of non-overtime work hours occur between 2300 and 0800.
- Night shift differential will be paid for all regularly scheduled (including regularly scheduled flexible employees) work.
