We are looking for an administrative Assistant/ Bookkeeper for a SMALL BUSINESS of 15 people for our landscape company.

Main tasks

Responsible for ensuring all financial transactions including bank, accounts receivable, accounts payable and payroll are processed and entered on a timely basis through the ****Quickbooks Pro accounting system ****REQUIRED***.

Periodic filing as requested by law (payroll taxes, sales and use tax).

Responsible for producing and reporting the resulting financial and non-financial data based on management needs.

Researches and responds to all accounting inquiries. Performs reconciliations of all general ledger accounts ensuring accuracy and integrity of monthly financial reporting.

Performs bank reconciliation both weekly and monthly, Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable reconciliation, depreciation, expense reports, etc. Assists with Payroll. Cash management. Weekly and monthly analysis of profitability by projects/customers.

Various office tasks including answering incoming calls, ordering supplies, maintaining strong relationships with customers, vendors, lenders, insurance carriers.

And errand runs

Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree in accounting; 2+ years of related professional experience.

Advanced Account Reconciliation, Advanced Accounts Receivable, Advanced Accounts Payable, Advance Inventory.

Strong MS Word, MS Excel.** FULL ***Knowledge of QuickBooks Pro software is **REQUIRED** .

Strong work ethic, well organized and able to multi-task.

Able to identify areas for control and process improvement.

Excellent analytical and reasoning abilities, strong numeric and IT skills.

Strong interpersonal skills: able to work effectively as part of a multi-cultural, multi discipline team.

Job Types: Part-time

Salary: $17.00 to $22.00 /hour

Experience:

  • data entry: 6 years (Required)
  • QuickBooks: 5 years (Required)

Education:

  • Bachelor's (Preferred)

Language:

  • English (Preferred)
  • little knowledge of Spanish welcome as well!
