We are looking for an experienced painter to join our Body Shop team at our Norwalk, IA Chevrolet location.

Responsibilities and Duties

• Managing multiple auto body painting projects at the same time
• Willing to complete painting assignments to meet demanding schedule
• Will inspect quality output of body work from body technicians as assignments are sent to the Paint Department
• Communicate with Management on status of all assignments
• Preparing assignments by sanding, masking and covering parts of the vehicle as needed
• Knowledge of paint mixing processes
• Properly handle all materials and dispose of waste in proper and professional manner

Qualifications and Skills

• Painting and Body: 2 years experience
• Need a valid drivers license
• Need to be a good team player
• Must have good communication skills
• Must have excellent work ethics and organizational skills
• Knowledge of Solvent based and Water based paint products preferred
• Must be able to handle a fast paced environment
• Must be available and able to work additional hours to meet the heavy demands of the Paint Department
