At Aural Analytics, we're developing tools to detect signs of neurological disorders like Alzheimer's, stroke, Parkinson's, and concussion-from short speech tasks patients do on their phones. Our speech analytics help pick up subtle neurological changes not perceptible to the human ear.

We are looking for a creative, curiosity-driven biostatistician to provide statistical support for clinical study data. You’ll have access to our growing database of speech and clinical data. The job has two main components:

  • reviewing speech data coming in from customers, along with measurements derived from that data, to ensure the quality of our speech measurement products
  • leading scientific analysis of clinical speech datasets for algorithm validation and publications

You’ll be working with our analytics department on the analysis of incoming study data and with our co-founders on scholarly presentations and publications. This is a high-impact position where you’ll be looking at never-before-analyzed data and setting the direction of our products based on your analyses. Opportunities are available for additional university-level collaborations.

Qualifications and required skills:

  • MS in Biostatistics, Statistics, or related quantitative field. Ph.D. strongly preferred
  • 3+ years of field expirence
  • Experience with exploratory analysis of health data
  • Experience with mixed-effects modeling and longitudinal data analysis
  • Ability to visualize complex data
  • Ability to write statistical analyses in R
  • Exceptional communication skills
