Billing Specialist/Front Desk Receptionist Details

We are looking for a competent Billing specialist/Receptionist to undertake a variety of financial and non-financial tasks. For both the billing and administrative position you are under the direct supervision of the Office manger. The biller aspect of the position entails all aspects of billing, included but not limited to payment, denial, adjustments and thorough understanding of EOBs and medical reimbursement. You will assist in generation of office revenue by reviewing accounts, submitting claims to insurance companies for reimbursement and monitoring, and pursuing delinquent accounts. This position also requires coverage of the front dest. This dynamic role requires an individual who demonstrates a professional demeanor at all times, with particular strengths in confidentiality and ethical response in all interactions. The receptions responds to everyday request from clients, individual partners and the office manager, while maintaining a strong grasp of on-going tases related to the general operation of ACG.

The position strikes a balance between clerical/administrative excellence and the ability to act with diplomacy, tact, and ethics in a community-based setting.

Responsibilities

  • Knowledge of billing and ICD-9 and CPT4 coding and technology
  • verifying new and updated insurance coverage
  • Manage the status of accounts and balances and identify inconsistencies
  • Issue and post bills, receipts and invoices
  • reviewing and appealing upaid and denied claims in a timely manner
  • Check the validity of debit accounts
  • Update accounts receivable database with new accounts or missed payments
  • Ensure all clients remain informed on their outstanding debts and deadlines
  • Provide solutions to any relative problems of clients
  • Adhere to professional standards, policies and procedures, federal, state and local requirements, and HIPPA standards.
  • Preforms day-to-day administrative functions and general office duties including but not limited to word processing, copying, filing, and data entry, to include scanning.
  • Responsible for the day-to-day operation of ACG’s telephone console as needed to included the following; screens, takes and deliver messages, and routes calls to appropriate staff.

Skills

  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • At least one year proven experience as billing specialist and/or specialized training
  • Knowledge of basic medical terminology and E.H.R
  • Adherence to laws and best practices in regards to dealing with customers and HIPPA regulations.
  • Comfortable dealing with numbers and the processing of financial information
  • Excellent verbal communication skills; written skills adequate to draft basic business letters and emails to and for professional staff.
  • Proficiency in English
  • An ability to interface with difficult client situations.
  • High degree of attention to detail and trustworthiness
  • Pass a national background check
  • Good time management skills and a self started who is motivated
  • Flexible to be able to accommodate chaining needs of management/administration

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From $13.00 per hour
