We are hiring! Atkins seeks a Benefits Specialist to join our benefits team in Miami, Orlando or Tampa, FL. Reporting to the Director of Pension & Benefits this position will be responsible for serving as a content expert on the company’s benefit offerings. This individual will work closely with HR, Payroll, IT, Finance, Global Mobility and outside benefit carriers to support 3,000 US based employees.

How will you contribute to the team?

• Act as point of contact for all team members and employees for the Leave of Absence program.
• Assist with administration of corporate benefit programs such as medical, dental, vision, COBRA, life, short-term disability, long-term disability, flexible spending accounts, wellness programs, voluntary benefits.
• Research and resolve escalated issues working with the benefits portal, payroll, insurance carriers and HR.
• Function as a liaison with vendors and benefit team members.
• Prepare bi-weekly benefit invoice reconciliation and billing. Reconcile all benefit related invoices to ensure accuracy, following up with vendors on discrepancies.
• Participate in annual Open Enrollment planning, assisting employees throughout the process and implementation activities within the benefits admin. system.
• Keep informed of current industry trends and legislative changes that may affect plans and maintains plan compliance with applicable federal rules and regulations.

What will you contribute?

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or related field

• Three - five years benefits experience working in a large (3,000+ employees) environment.
• Knowledge of US employment law and benefit regulations.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Demonstrated ability to exercise independent judgement and diplomacy to resolve issues generally within prescribed guidelines.
• Attention to detail with an intermediate level of proficiency in Excel, Word and PowerPoint.
