Benefits Analyst - Remote
Responsible for providing Total Rewards support to all employees. Assists employees, management and HR Business Partners with the administration of all benefits programs, including new hires, leaves of absence and terminations for all benefits plans. Acts as a liaison with carriers, vendors and brokers. Proactively seeks out opportunity for improvements and enhancements that better the employee and admin experience and/or save money for the company. Strong project management skills and ability execute on-time quality results.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Provide day-to-day information and assistance to employees on benefits, policies, guidelines and programs. Work to respond in a timely, consistent and fair manner to resolve employee questions/concerns and requests for information
- Handling of daily benefits admin duties, including enrollments, new hires, terminations, changes, leave of absence, disability, accident and death claims
- Ensure new employees receive information for all eligible benefits, and track employee information from initial eligibility to completion of enrollment
- Manage the leave of absence process alongside our leave administrator and separate, external leave support team, including FMLA, disability, Worker’s Compensation and all other leaves of absence
- Manage carrier/vendor relationships
- Manage carrier/vendor file feeds
- Actively participate and/or conduct carrier/vendor RFPs, analyze results, and implementation of new carrier/vendor
- Plan design analysis and implementation
- Coordination and attendance of onsite and remote benefit fairs
- Open Enrollment meetings coordination, attendance and presentation
- Ensure compliance of benefits plans with federal, state and local laws and regulations
- Provide ongoing analysis of trends, legislative changes and best practices within the benefits offerings
- Provide guidance on benefits programs and administration with respects to Section 125 regulations, COBRA, FMLA, ADA, HIPAA and IRS regulations
- Oversee Health and Welfare Form 5500 filing process
- Design employee communication materials, including manager trainings, Open Enrollment materials and electronic communications
- Maintain benefits portal communications and documentation
- Coordinate team’s printing needs
- Maintain a no surprise atmosphere, and a proven ability in sound decision making and escalating where appropriate
- Successfully lead other special projects and duties as assigned
- Perform other duties as required by management
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or related field, and 2 to 3 years of Benefits experience required.
- Comprehensive knowledge of benefits programs and benefits administration preferred.
Ideal candidates will possess:
- Ability to manage a task log and anticipate/meet deadlines through proper time management.
- Must have the ability to work both independently and as a member of a team.
- Possess strong project management skills.
- Must be detail oriented with good work ethic and maintain confidentiality.
- Must be proficient in the use of MS Word, Excel, Power Point and Publisher.

Disclosure as required by Colorado law, the annual salary range for this position is 60,000 to 90,000. The actual compensation may vary based on geographic location, work experience, education and skill level. The salary range is CONMED’s good faith belief at the time of this posting.
