BEHAVIOR TECHNICIANS - WEST FARGO PUBLIC SCHOOLPOSITION: Behavior Technicians - Positions are available at various levels within the WFPS district.
TERM: WFPS Calendar - regular positions, continuing
SUMMARY: The Behavior Technician will assist teachers within the district’s specialized programs and will assist students with daily instructional and non-instructional activities in order to provide skills instruction and behavior reduction protocols to students under the supervision of the classroom teacher.
QUALIFICATIONS:- High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED)
- Ability to develop positive working relationships with students, staff, and the school community
- Reliable and dependable attendance
- Associates degree or higher preferred
- Experience working in an elementary school setting preferred
- Experience working with complex student behaviors preferred
SALARY: 2020-2021 Classified Support Staff Salary Schedule
- This position begins as a Special Education Paraprofessional that will undergo a comprehensive training program prior to graduating to the Behavior Technician status and hourly rate.
Special Education Paraprofessional Rate = $14.63/hour plus excellent benefits and paid time off
