The BDD Compliance Specialist is responsible for evaluating, analyzing, and monitoring results through project management to ensure full compliance with the goals of the Nashville International Airport's Disadvantaged Business Enterprise (DBE), Airport Concession Disadvantaged Business Enterprise (ACDBE) and Small, Minority, and Woman-Owned Business Enterprise (SMWBE) programs. Other responsibilities include but are not limited to, outreach and compliance reporting.
Essential Job Responsibilities:
- Coordinates with all departments to implement and ensure full compliance with the goals of the Nashville International Airport's Disadvantaged Business Enterprise (DBE), Airport Concession Disadvantaged Business Enterprise (ACDBE) and Small, Minority, and Woman-Owned Business Enterprise (SMWBE) programs.
- Assists with outreach efforts to DBE/SMWBEs and community organizations to advise them of opportunities as assigned.
- Completes thorough file review to include documented site visits to monitor compliance with DBE, ACDBE and SMWBE regulations.
- Gathers and reports statistical and other information as required for DBE and SMWBE programs under legal regulations; reviews third party contracts and lease agreements for compliance with the programs. Ensures that data is accurate and available for reporting participation results.
- Utilizes compliance and monitoring software (B2G); reconciles any data integrity issues to ensure accuracy and reports compliance.
- Assists in the planning of and participates in DBE/SMWBE training seminars.
- Attends progress meetings for construction and professional services contracts, conducts site visits, monitors progress toward agreed upon participation and recommends and implements adjustments where necessary.
- Assists with outreach activities related to business development, diversity and inclusion, workforce development, and the community.

- DBE/ACDBE Program: Knowledge of program and contract compliance, goal setting methodology, reporting, monitoring projects and concessions.
- Ability to obtain and maintain a Security Identification Display Area (SIDA) badge.
Qualifications:
Required:
- Bachelor's Degree in business, accounting, or related field
- 2-4 years of compliance, diversity & inclusion, procurement, or related field
- Valid Class D driver license
- Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or government regulations. Ability to write routine reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, and general public.
Preferred:
- Procurement Industry or Business Diversity Certification upon hire
