Job Purpose/Overview Responsible for ensuring the accuracy of all inventory transactions within the facility and ensuring proper inventory accuracy business processes are being followed. To accomplish this, the incumbent was work and be familiar with multiple systems (SAP, JDA, etc.), and work with multiple audiences (SLT, Value Stream leaders, R&D, S&F, system functional experts, Controls Engineering/contractors). The incumbent provides the first level of support for Data & Inventory Control questions and is responsible for monitoring site business process conformance and reporting business process issues, implementing process continuous improvements, supporting local implementation of SAP / MES upgrades, and training end users, Key Responsibilities Ensure accuracy of site inventory Ensure proper orchestration of Inventory Management systems at a site including: Expert functional support for timely and accurate resolution of SAP COGI transaction errors at the site. Ensure MES integration as required Coordinate recipe usability with R&D Primary Accountabilities include: Coordinates, audits, and troubleshoots all static inventory data and dynamic inventory transactions in SAP and MES databases. MES includes MES production execution systems and SRS systems. Assures data is consistent with the documented GRD standards. Audits daily transactions and work-in-progress inventories (WIP), and initiates problem-solving activities, ensuring that errors are corrected by the appropriate associates and that understanding is gained about proper procedures. Assures data is consistent with the documented GRD standards. Provides support for analyzing and correcting transactional and data set SAP (COGI) errors. Responsible for coordinating and overseeing MES inventory transactional errors. Provides support for monitoring and resolving interfacing errors between SAP, MES, and VLM. Provide the functional support for Data & Inventory Control questions and issue resolution at a site. Monitor site business process conformance and report business process issues. Implement inventory control process continuous improvements. Support local implementation of SAP / MES upgrades. Provide ideas for regional functional requirements. Ensure user training and provide support for Data & Inventory Control business processes. This includes business process knowledge training, SAP transactional training, MES actual consumption training, and Waste system training. Documents and co-ordinates changes in business processes across all plant functions. Researches, communicates and implements new functionality and methods. Supports and assists in the development and testing of future system enhancements. Assure documentation and coordination for changes in procedures across all plant functions. Reviews SAP & MES transactions and reports – is an expert resource for problem resolution. Oversees accuracy of work-in-progress inventories. Represents the plant, supports, and assists future system enhancements. Is proactive in initiating improvements. Audits and adjusts Bill of Material, Formula, Part Records, to drive accuracy. Reports Inventory Record Accuracy. Analyzes transactional problems with SAP, MES or Red Prairie. Coordinates problems with SAP with other Key Users at the site, and Key Users at other sites, and with the Functional expert to ensure that problems are resolved quickly. Provide 1st level support for EDI communication troubleshooting and part configuration. The incumbent is an individual contributor but serves as a vital member of a site-based Logistics team. This person is responsible for the accurate and timely posting of all inventory-related transactions and leading problem-solving activities to resolve issues. As a result, the incumbent works with key stakeholders across the site including members of the site Leadership Team, various value stream leaders, and functional experts within the site and across the network. The incumbent uses process improvement skills as a key participant in Waste Reduction meetings and developing needed processes for new production within the facility. Job Specifications/Qualifications Education & Professional Qualifications Required: 2 years experience in manufacturing role and/or 2 year technical degree. Preferred: An undergraduate degree in Industrial Engineering, Supply Chain Management or a related field Knowledge / Experience 3 years relevant work experience in operations, scheduling and/or logistics related environment. BS in engineering, supply chain or sciences could be substituted for work experience. Expertise in managing inventories, BOMs, Recipes, using SAP, using MES, and/or troubleshooting system transactional errors a plus.
