Be a part of Bright Horizons Back-Up Care! Work a flexible schedule that works well for college students or anyone looking to work a part-time schedule. In our back-up care program, we provide care for children when their regular child care falls through or when school is closed.

Provide a safe and nurturing environment for children that encourages their social, emotional, physical, and intellectual development. Design and implement developmentally appropriate curriculum according to guidelines established by Bright Horizons and the National Association for the Education of Young Children (NAEYC). Incorporate Bright Horizon’s mission, culture, goals, values (HEART Principles), philosophies, policies, and development of an inclusive environment. Review important decisions with his/her supervisor, and maintain positive relationships with parents/guardians, children, and coworkers. Ensure safety and supervision of children at all times by meeting the physical demands of the position.

REQUIREMENTS (Must meet Massachusetts state requirements)

Education and Experience

· Must meet Massachusetts state requirements for ECE Teacher and any additional center/school requirements may apply.

· Must meet Massachusetts state experience requirements for Teachers; additionally, 12 months of professional teaching experience preferred.

· With Regional Manager approval, extensive teaching experience may substitute for education requirements, provided professional development plan is in place.

· Demonstrated knowledge of developmentally appropriate curriculum practice.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $16.00 - $19.00 per hour
