World Travel Holdings is seeking a Software Engineer (Back End Developer) for its Business to Business (B2B) Division – Dream Vacations, CruiseOne and Cruises Inc. The Back End Developer will be responsible for creating and maintaining cutting-edge web based applications, and support of legacy applications.

Responsibilities:
  • Design and develop clear and comprehensive technical solutions across the full stack
  • Lead/participate in design discussions, prototype development and code reviews
  • Ability to work in an agile team environment, and collaborate cross-functionally to develop in sprints
  • Provide support and upgrade expertise to Legacy ASP code base
  • Debug and troubleshoot existing program code, and determine optimum solutions when required
  • Ability to manage priorities and schedules, including status reports to project management team
  • Comply with coding and project standards and processes
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related field
  • At least 2-3 years of web development experience utilizing Java/J2EE/JSP
  • Experience utilizing Spring Boot and Hibernate JPA/DAO. Angular JS 1 & 2 a significant plus
  • Working knowledge of *nix systems (particularly Linux on CentOS)
  • Working knowledge of HTML/CSS/Javascript /JQuery
  • Experience with relational databases and working knowledge of SQL (Oracle)
  • Practical, in-depth knowledge of the fundamentals of object-oriented design and programming
  • Exceptional analytical skills and problem solving ability
  • Very strong, delivery focused work ethic that takes ownership and produces results
  • Ability to multitask and switch tracks as needed
  • Solid verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to cultivate and maintain collaborative relationships within the team and the enterprise at large
  • Must be a resident and live in a US state. We do not currently hire in AK, CA, HI, KY, ND, OH, OR, and PA.
