Responsible for management of B2C sales and development/execution of the Breadmaking B2C traditional and digital marketing plans to develop and promote our brands, products, and technologies in alignment with the company’s strategic objectives. Lead projects as directed by the VP, Marketing & Strategy. Ability to work independently with moderate supervision and meet various deadlines. This position will be remote but the individual should reside on the West Coast.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following, but are not limited to
- Develops and implements strategic sales and marketing plans to accommodate corporate goals.
- Directs sales forecasting activities and sets performance goals accordingly.
- Develops and executes comprehensive marketing plans and programs, both short and long range, to support sales and revenue objectives of organization.
- Develops and manages marketing operating budget.
- Reviews market analyses to determine customer needs, price schedules, and discount rates.
- Directs staffing, training, and performance evaluations to develop and control sales program.
- Plans and oversees advertising and promotion activities including print and digital media, retailer-specific programs and coupon offers. Measures performance and presents results.
- Directs channel development activity and coordinates sales distribution by establishing sales territories, quotas, and goals.
- Advises dealers, distributors, and clients concerning sales and advertising techniques.
- Oversees development and production of promotional and collateral materials.
- Develops and recommends product positioning, packaging and pricing strategy to produce the highest possible long-term market share.
- Assigns sales territory to sales representatives.
- Analyzes sales statistics to formulate policy and assist sales personnel in promoting sales.
- Monitors competitive products and marketing activities.
- Represents Company at trade association meetings to promote product.
- Establishes and maintains a consistent corporate image throughout all product lines, promotional materials, and events.
- Delivers sales presentations to key clients in coordination with sales representatives.
- Meets with key clients, assisting sales representative with maintaining relationships and negotiating and closing deals.
- Support and assist the external consumer call center. Respond or redirect to B2C product and application questions or quality complaints that come in from sales team, customer service, reception, etc.
- Coordinates liaison between sales department and other sales related units.
- Analyzes and controls expenditures of division to conform to budgetary requirements.
- Prepares periodic sales report showing sales volume, potential sales, and areas of proposed client base expansion.
- Monitors and evaluates the activities and products of the competition.
- Recommends or approves budget, expenditures, and appropriations for research and development work.
- Participate in Lesaffre group marketing and brand development and promotion initiatives. Collaborate with other Lesaffre subsidiaries on digital marketing best practices and successes.
- Perform other duties as requested. Represent the Company in a professional manner.
Supervisory Responsibilities
Directly supervises a team of four full time employees: 2 Regional Sales Managers, a B2C Digital Marketing Specialist, and a B2C Marketing Coordinator. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.

Education and/or Experience
Bachelor’s degree with emphasis in marketing or a minimum of 5 – 10 years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Hands-on experience and science-based understanding of baking, baking with yeast, and baker’s yeast products required.
Communication and Relationship Skills
Exceptional written and verbal communication skills required. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization and respond to customer inquiries or complaints. Skilled in working on a team and dealing effectively with conflict.
Mathematical Skills
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.

Computer Skills
To perform this job successfully, the candidate must have advanced skills in MS office suite of products, especially Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. Proficiency to produce very professional presentations from complex content is required.
- Basic understanding of each digital media platform and their standard practices, as well as experience with WordPress and website CMS. Experience with Adobe Suite is a plus.
