St Pete Air has an opening in its Avionics Shop for an enthusiastic avionics technician to join our team. St Pete Air is a fast-growing business offering flight training, avionics & maintenance services at Albert- Whitted Airport (KSPG) located in downtown St Petersburg, FL. We require an experienced technician able to troubleshoot avionics systems on Cessna, Beechcraft, Piper, Cirrus or Diamond aircraft. Garmin experience desirable. You will also be able to undertake avionics installations as required. Turbine aircraft experience desirable. The successful applicant will assist the manager in supervising other technicians. Key Abilities and Responsibilities: · Troubleshoots and repairs aircraft communication, navigation, flight display, air data, autopilot, engine instruments and other sophisticated avionics/electronics systems. · Installs avionics systems on customer aircraft. · Sheet metal experience preferred. · Proficient at reading and interpreting wiring diagrams, system schematics, and utilizing aircraft manuals. · Familiar with FAR 91.411, and FAR 91.413 certifications. · Uses electrical and manual hand tools, test equipment, wire marker and soldering equipment. · Documents all work accomplished in a clear, concise and accurate manner. · Works fair share of overtime and travels to customer locations as required. · Responsible for knowing, understanding, following, and promoting company policies and procedures. · Observes all safety, environmental and general housekeeping rules and policies. · May perform other duties as required by the company.
