Working under the supervision of the Shift Supervisor and the direction of the Control Room Operator, the Auxiliary Operator will be responsible for the operation and inspection of various power plant systems including boilers and associated equipment. Responsibilities include:
REQUIREMENTS: To be considered for this position the individual must have at least three years previous experience with high pressure boilers and electric generating equipment, or formal technical training and a High School Diploma or equivalent. State license to operate boilers/pressure vessels and mobile equipment may be required. Must be able to work on a rotating shift schedule and work overtime as needed including nights, weekends, and holidays. May be required to work extensive overtime hours during planned and un-planned maintenance. Must be able to work in all locations within the plant, under extremes of hot and cold, and in areas of dust, noise, and wet conditions. Must be able to wear a respirator, climb a ladder to access equipment and work from heights using fall protection, lift heavy objects and other manual labor to including pushing, pulling, sweeping, and shoveling.
