AUTOMOTIVE COSMETIC INSPECTOR

The Cosmetic Inspector is responsible for auditing all incoming units in Reconditioning to determine what defects are present, and recommend repairs needed to meet Shifts stringent cosmetic standards. Cosmetic Inspectors are responsible for using Shift’s Inspection app to create the cosmetic repair path, while taking photos and writing detailed notes for all defects present.

What you’ll do:

· Conduct inspections to detect cosmetic damage, missing parts and mechanical problems.

· Document vehicle condition by completing an electronic report utilizing Shift’s app

· Maintain knowledge of current and aged vehicle issues.

· Follow standardized work flows

· Take overall and damage photos of vehicle

· Other tasks as needed

What you'll have

· High School Diploma or equivalent required

· 1 - 3 years of experience in the automobile field (i.e., inspections, body/mechanic shop, etc.) strongly preferred.

· Body, paint and mechanical repair knowledge.

· Valid driver's license and safe driving record required

· Ability to communicate in an effective manner

· Ability to bend, stoop, squat or kneel.

· Ability to work outside in the elements for extended periods of time.

· Experience of working in fast paced, flexible working environment
