Self employed transportation professionals deliver and pick up packages for an assigned client and ensures outstanding customer service while supporting daily operations.

Scope of work:

This position requires strict attention to the following obligations:

• Driving safely and obeying all traffic laws
• Providing reliable transportation of goods
• Becoming familiar with geographical location
• Following customer instructions without deviation
• Presenting a neat appearance and professional behavior
• It may require work in a warehouse environment.

Qualifications include:

• High School Diploma or GED preferred
• Valid Driver License and excellent driving record
• Work schedules may include working holidays.
• Outstanding attendance record
• At least one year of driver delivery experience
• Must be familiar with local streets and freeways
• Ability to develop an efficient route for multiple deliveries/pick-ups
• Exemplary customer service skills (pleasant, friendly, helpful)
• A knack for deescalating tensions when dealing with challenging people

Working conditions

This position requires working and walking outdoors and driving in all types of weather and traffic.

Physical requirements

This position requires prolonged driving (8-9 hours daily; 5 days per week). It is physically demanding. Employees must be able to lift 50 pounds from the ground to waist level for approximately 100 feet, up and downstairs, and or onto a loading ramp. Work may require climbing a ladder safely and stocking and pulling objects from warehouse shelves, performing cleanup duties including but not limited to sweeping, mopping, and general cleaning duties.
