About this Job:

Biogen’s multidisciplinary imaging group is actively engaged in an innovative and dynamic molecular imaging research program which includes the discovery and characterization of radiotracers and methodologies.

As the Associate Scientist II, you will demonstrate expertise in tissue and cell-based in-vitro and ex-vivo assays, preferably including radioligand binding assays (e.g., tissue homogenate binding assays, tissue section autoradiography) used to characterize and develop radiotracers.

What You’ll Do:

  • You will participate in assessing radiotracer application to drug development and their utilization in the understanding of normo- and patho-physiology in disease models and in humans.
  • Identify and progress key imaging initiatives within Biogen to support our discovery and clinical development pipelines.
  • Collaborate with other imaging team members as well as other imaging program teams.
  • Present at team meetings and internal group forums.

Qualifications


Required Skills:

  • Bachelors of Science in Pharmacology, Neuroscience, Physiology, or other biology-related discipline
  • 1-2 years’ industry experience in drug discovery or in a CRO
  • Experience with in-vitro & ex-vivo tissue and cell-based models and assays (lab experience & biology experience)

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience in radioligand binding techniques is preferred (homogenate, membrane, cell, autoradiography assays)
  • Immunohistochemistry experience
  • Experience in neurodegenerative diseases including of relevant animal models Knowledge of therapeutic areas in neurology (e.g., neurodegenerative diseases)
