What will you do?
The Associate Global Market Development Manager will lead the development and execution of marketing campaigns for the Transfection Instrumentation portfolio and assist in marketing efforts for the Protein Expression business segment, using a customer-centric go-to-market approach. This role will be a pivotal one in developing a strategy for driving growth in our Cell Biology instrument business and will be a key contributor to a broad and fast-growing portfolio of products that enable scientists to study cells and use them to produce proteins for basic research, vaccine and drug development.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute strategic marketing plans to support new product commercialization, product portfolio positioning, analysis of customer segments, competitive analysis, business trends, and market opportunities for Transfection Instrumentation and Protein Expression portfolios
- Develop and execute engaging, bold marketing tactics to help drive awareness, demand, and conversion for Transfection Instrumentation and Protein Expression portfolios
- Create and implement clear, compelling marketing content to support multiple channels, including digital, web, email, social media, video, etc.
- Work closely with the Digital Strategy Manager and internal support teams to maintain digital footprint of supported product portfolios through continuous optimization of SEM, SEO, and web content
- Support regional market development managers to build and execute marketing programs within their geographic regions
- Collaborate with product management and commercial teams to develop sales force training and customer education material on new product features or applications
- Act as a brand ambassador, understanding, upholding, and communicating our brand strategy in all aspects of our marketing programs
- Provide regular and ad-hoc oral and written communication of metrics, successes, failures, best practices, etc. to improve the overall operating efficiency of the team
- Track and manage marketing budget at a tactic, project, and program level to ensure alignment with annual operating plan
- May perform other related duties as required and/or assigned
- Travel may be required (10%)
How will you get there?
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in Life Sciences, Business, or similar discipline – Master’s, MBA, or PhD highly preferred
Experience:- Knowledge of cell biology research work, products, and applications, preferably with familiarity of Transfection/Electroporation instrumentation and Protein Expression techniques/products
- 2-3+ years of experience in product marketing, marketing communications, product management, life science sales, or other closely related position, ideally with experience managing instrumentation
- Marketing acumen in developing marketing strategy and compelling content for customers and sales teams across multiple channels
- Experience in management of metrics dashboards and reports, with a strong bias for data-driven decision-making
- Strong communication skills (written and verbal) - comfortable interacting with internal and external audiences of varying levels
- Ability to work in a highly matrixed organization
- Ability to drive projects to completion on time with a proven track record of prioritizing and managing multiple projects in a fast-paced environment
Desired Qualifications:
- Knowledge of the following key competencies: 4Ps and marketing mix, marketing communication channels, audience segmentation, value propositions
- Experience developing and executing marketing strategy and content, especially as pertains to instrumentation portfolio
- Understanding of digital marketing in various channels, including marketing automation, SEO/SEM, display and social advertising, as well as digital performance metrics. Experience developing and executing digital marketing initiatives preferred
- Creative thinker who can generate innovative ideas and solutions and partner effectively with other marketing teams
- Analytical thinking abilities to identify/resolve problems and ensure continuous improvement in process and results
- Strong interpersonal and relationship building skills
