GSK’s US Oncology team is looking for an Oncology Strategic Engagement professional to collaborate with external oncology experts to deliver innovative solutions in support of oncology patients. As an Associate Director of Strategic Engagement, you will engage and work closely with U.S Oncology External Experts (EEs) in support of GSK’s oncology portfolio. You will play a pivotal role by being responsible for developing interactions that result in enhanced customer relationships and positions GSK as a leader in oncology. Across solid tumors and product indications, the role will work cross-functionally to enhance coordination and strategic value of interactions in all customer segments. The role will collaborate with Marketing, Sales, Care Team Leads, and other internal stakeholders to ensure an aligned engagement strategy that is cross-functional and actionable. This role is designed to enhance the level and depth of relationships with EEs and does not replace or circumvent important interactions by other functions within GSK.
Areas of Focus:
- Identification and development of deep relationships with EEs in the US gynecologic oncology community
- Develop insights about customers and institutions that enhance GSK’s understanding of customers’ capabilities and opportunities to work with GSK in a mutually beneficial fashion
- Use strategic insights, based on GSK legitimate business needs and market intelligence, to inform collaboration opportunities with key institutions and stakeholders
- Identify and plan corporate site visits with senior leadership from across the company
- Be the conduit at congresses to connect EEs and GSK executive team with the purpose of discussing common corporate interests, available capabilities, resources, and potential collaborations
- Be a key point of contact for existing speakers and support identifying and training new speakers to serve pre-defined business needs
- Champion corporate goals, solidifying corporate image by leveraging opportunities to showcase GSK’s commitment to patients across solid tumors
Your responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Lead and coordinate EE executive encounters with commercial leaders. Includes planning and execution of EE engagements and executive encounters at regional and national conferences, POAs, in field engagements, and other venues as directed in a compliant manner
- Align with Commercial teams to ensure activities are coordinated appropriately
- Lead the planning of corporate site visits with senior leadership, including interactions with EE for agenda development, and creation of EE profiles
- Maximize congress activity by ensuring that engagements are prepared in advance, have clear meeting goals and EE profiles, utilizing approved presentation materials, and are followed by a meeting summary. The incumbent will work with the appropriate functions to ensure action items are completed
- Lead, coordinate and plan GSK’s regional marketing engagement with US based oncology EEs. This includes building and maintaining of effective working relationships with oncology EEs.
- Partner with Marketing to identify new speakers to fill unmet needs. Train speakers on promotional approved content.
- Track interactions via approved internal platforms, including VEEVA, to ensure documentation of interaction history, visibility and transparency for other functions

- Demonstrated strong orientation to ethics and compliance
- Skilled in Excel, Powerpoint, VEEVA
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree,
- A minimum of 8 years of experience in one or more of the following: field sales, product marketing, or medical / clinical experience in the pharmaceutical / biotech industry
- Minimum 5 years oncology experience
- Valid driver's license
- Ability to travel ~ 60% - 80%; could be less based on geography
- Ability to travel to meetings/trainings/programs as necessary

- Masters Degree
- Ability to deliver objectives under tight timelines
- Commercial and/or medical affairs experience
