ChristianaCare is currently seeking a full-time Associate Director of Medical Group Practice Operations for Primary Care Core.

PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Responsible for communicating and implementing the strategic direction for practice discipline across operations, including patient care delivery, process, root cause analysis, and quality improvement in collaboration with core primary care, population health and medical group leaders.
  • Networks to stay abreast of innovative practices, evolving technology within ambulatory care settings.
  • Strong healthcare operations acumen for developing established practices goals for fiscal viability and long term stability.
  • Actively participate in the business planning process for strategic development, integrations and expansion of services within the medical group.
  • Interpret key performance indicators for each practice and determine root cause for variances while implementing solutions to improve results.
  • Responsible for driving improvement, optimization, and standardization across practices.
  • Cultivate a healthy practice environment that enables you to recruit and retain top talent
  • Collaborate with Primary Care Leadership to develop business case for additional FTEs while ensuring maximal productivity, top of license practice, and efficient practice management.
  • Partners with Directors, Primary Care Leadership, and clinicians to forecast volumes, space, and equipment needs for patient population.
  • Manages practices managers at multiple locations including selection, onboarding, development and recognition.
  • Collaborates with nursing and physician leadership to recommend medical group policies, protocols, procedures, and standards to ensure top of license work is performed. Implement with approval of leadership
  • Directly aligns with population health and Primary Care Leadership to to achieve desired outcomes in value-based contracts
  • Oversees the development of standard work, role, office flow, maximizing access, and an overall positive patient experience.
  • Coordinate resources as needed to support effective IT improvements, marketing strategies, patient experience, and practice operations.
  • Create brand awareness through patient experience bringing to life our values of excellence and love as We Serve Together.
  • Effectively translate key messages to various audiences.
  • Performs assigned work safely, adhering to established departmental safety rules and practices. In a timely manner, reports to supervisor any unsafe activities, conditions, hazards, or safety violations that may cause injury to oneself, other employees, patients, and visitors.
  • Performs other related duties as required.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field such as nursing, medical technology, business, clinical healthcare, or healthcare management.
  • Master's degree in a related field preferred.
  • Minimum of two (2) years of healthcare experience on a management level required, with a focus on quality, safety, regulatory, and accreditation preferred.
  • Minimum 6 years of direct practice medical practice leadership experience in lieu of degree may be considered.
