Cordant Health Solutions has an immediate opening for an enthusiastic Associate Business Development Representative: (ABDR): working remotely from home. The ABDR will be responsible for prospecting new accounts, assisting with operations and managing existing customer relationships with specified accounts in their geography. This includes selling with marketing materials, handling day to day issues that arise with the account, including clinical questions, issues or concerns around submitting requisitions or receiving reports, and educating the HCPs and staff on our total offering and all new offerings. The ABDR will also play a key role in growing the territory, working directly with Sales Manager, Sales Reps and Internal Sales resources to call on new business opportunities, generate leads and continue to market and grow our reputation and market share.

This is an entry level healthcare sales position. Our ideal candidate will have background in a client-facing role and be enthusiastic about developing into a healthcare sales or account management career in the healthcare industry. To excel, you should be passionate about approaching prospective clientele while understanding the full value proposition that Cordant brings to the market in support of our company mission.

The schedule for this role is Monday through Friday, 8:00am-5:00pm with potential weekend and evening work. This position is compensated at $60,000 annually, plus commission.:

Essential Functions::

    • Efficient territory planning and management including pre-call planning and routing.
    • Participate in developing a business plan to help retain clients and leverage new growth opportunities in conjunction with the Regional Business Development Representative.
    • Identifying growth opportunities within their current book of business including upselling new tests and products or taking away business from a competitor.
    • Secure their book of business by providing a high level of service, creating electronic connectivity with the clients, and promoting Cordant’s complete value proposition.
    • Proactively prepare for and be aware of competitive tactics.
    • Assisting with the onboarding process along with internal partners.
    • Managing relationships with stakeholders in other functional areas.
    • Maintain a productive relationship with Internal Sales, Customer Service, Sales Operations, and Lab Operations resources.
    • Maintain a comprehensive understanding of all our product offerings.
    • Develop a thorough understanding of the implementation process including account set up, IT set up, customer service support, and lab operations.
    • Operate in accordance with our corporate compliance training. Maintain a strict adherence to legal and compliance guidelines.
    • Utilize the company’s CRM as required. Including logging daily sales activity and maintaining an up to date pipeline.
    • Accurately forecast new business wins and accounts that may be at risk of leaving.
    • Complete necessary reports as is required.
    • Attend sales meetings and trainings as required.
    • ABDRs are expected to stay up to date on current and relevant topics within healthcare that could have an impact on our industry.

Education/Experience::
    • Associate’s degree in Business, Marketing, Communications, or a related field required
    • 1+ year experience in outside sales, account management, or another client-facing role, preferred
    • Healthcare industry experience, preferred
    • Needs to be physically located in or near the territory that will be assigned, or willing to relocate

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities::
    • Ability to execute on multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
    • Demonstrated proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook. Ability to learn new software quickly.
    • Strong time management and organizational skills; ability to prioritize and multi-task.
    • Ability to work independently and be self-directed.
    • Ability to interact at all levels within the organization
    • Strong analytical and interpersonal skills.
    • Understanding of territory specific health plan policies that may present advantages or disadvantages to Cordant and our clients.
Physical Requirements::
