Natural Born Champions (NBC) is a community intervention program that aims to provide direct educational and extracurricular services for the inner-city youth and educators in Baltimore, MD. Our mission to turn every students’ imagination into reality. NBC will utilize a horizontal leadership structure of via counsel of five co-chairs who will work to ensure strategies are in place, goals are being met, and targets are being moved. The five co-chairs will hold the roles of organizing co-chair, curriculum co-chair, treasurer co-chair, fundraising co-chair, and service cochair. The co-chairs will work to support the additional five members/mentees to ensure the program initiatives are effectively executed.

General Job Description

Curriculum Co-Chair:

The Curriculum Co-chair (Coch) will work with the Organizing Coch. to implement strategies and to execute the mission and purpose of NBC’s primary duties and responsibilities involves creating curriculum for the service and staff mentors to follow. The Curriculum Coch. is also responsible for keeping track of the program’s progress and to research effective ways to grow the organization pedagogical structure. The ideal candidate must possess the skills of research, supervising staff, communication, teaching, and curriculum writing.

Duties & Responsibilities

• Update social media pages

• Create activities for NBC’s before & after school program

• Create NBC curriculum’s calendar & schedule for before & after school activities

• Work hands-on with students and other staff/mentees during various programs within NBC

• Send weekly updates/emails/texts to NBC members
• Help facilitate various programs within NBC center
• Keep log of NBC members
• Help innovate and promote fundraising ideas for various programs within the center.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED equivalency (required)
• Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited four-year college or university (preferred not required)
• Candidate must have satisfactory outcome of fingerprinting background check. Candidate is responsible for fees.
• K-8th grade experience (required)

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time, Contract

Pay: $12.00 - $14.00 per hour

COVID-19 considerations:
Must get COVID tested 4 days prior to start date. Masks must be worn at all times during shift. All members who enter NBC facility must get temperature taken.

• Baltimore, MD 21202: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Preferred)

Education:

• High school or equivalent (Preferred)

Experience:

• Supervising Experience: 2 years (Preferred)
• Customer Service: 2 years (Preferred)

License/Certification:

• Driver's License (Preferred)
• First Aid Certification (Preferred)

Shift Availability:

• Day Shift (Required)

Willingness To Travel:
