Assistant/Associate Professor of International Affairs Details

The appointed faculty member will direct a two-year M.A. degree program in Latin American and Hemispheric Studies and advise students pursuing concentrations in Latin American and Hemispheric Studies, as well as master’s students in related academic fields in other graduate and undergraduate programs at the Elliott School. The director will also oversee curriculum development, organization, and evaluation; coordinate research and conferencing activities; recruit and supervise part-time faculty as needed; and develop outside funds to support program activities. The director will also be expected to teach graduate level courses on Latin American issues. Minimum Qualifications: Applicants must have a Ph.D. in a relevant field by date of appointment, or appropriate practitioner experience at the equivalent level of expertise; or both; previous experience in the administration of academic programs; previous teaching experience at the Master’s level; and a track record of research and scholarship, reflected in scholarly or policy-oriented publications in Latin American affairs.
