The University of Colorado Boulder Athletics Department encourages applications for an Assistant Women's Tennis Coach. The purpose of this position is to assist in the management of the women's tennis program including coaching, recruiting, community relations, administrative duties and camps. The position primarily works on coaching enrolled student-athletes and recruiting prospective student-athletes.

This position is responsible for promoting the philosophy and objectives of the intercollegiate athletics program. This shall include adhering to the principles of the Athletic Department’s Mission Statement, Diversity and Inclusion Mission Statement, Core Values, Policies and Procedures, as well as the rules and regulations of the University, the Pac 12 Conference and the NCAA.

What Your Key Responsibilities Will Be:

Coaching/Teaching: On-court & off-court coaching and teaching of student-athletes in an individual as well as team practice format; video analysis breakdown; travel with and coach at away-from-home matches while also being in a supervisory capacity.

Recruiting: Responsible for the identification, evaluation and securing of recruiting prospective student-athletes who can compete for and win championships; maintaining current and accurate databases for recruiting classes using JumpForward software program, establish relationships with prospective student-athletes (and their support group (parents/coach/teachers/etc.) During the process; coordinate and carry-out the on-campus visit and assist in the eventual signing of prospective student-athletes to a NLI with the University of Colorado.

Administrative: Responsible for completing the majority of the required day-to-day documentation as it relates to NCAA Compliance, Athletics Department Business Office, team travel, etc. Assistant Coach will be required to attend all department meetings and as many public appearances as possible.

Community Relations: Will provide assistance, time and energy to all community outreach events organized by the Head Coach. Assist the head coach in the operation of the summer tennis camp.


What We Require:
2 years of collegiate coaching experience.
Experience playing tennis at the collegiate D1 level or previous professional coaching experience.

What You Will Need:
Skill in playing and/or coaching tennis.
Ability to coach tennis technique and skill to develop student-athlete to advance player success.
Ability to identify tennis talent.
Ability to guide student-athletes with academic success.
Detailed knowledge of the NCAA Rules and Regulations.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills and excellent organizational skills.

What We Would Like You To Have:
Experience communicating and building relationships with high-level tennis athletes in a recruiting setting.
