Position Summary: *
- Assists the Supervisor in managing scheduled and unscheduled maintenance of military equipment.
- Assists the Supervisor managing, supervising and training personnel assigned. Directly responsible for the shop, equipment designated and work orders assigned. Organizes maintenance workflow efficiency, troubleshooting and repairs.
- Primarily responsible for enforcing safety and environmental standards in conjunction within its designated maintenance operations.
- Performs employee discipline counseling, employee performance reviews, and other personnel reports.
- Reviews and approves employees timesheets.
- Ensures all employees observe policy, procedures and regulatory guidance for physical security, and monitors for compliance.
Basic Qualifications:
- Must possess operational skill on the Global Combat Support System-Army (GCSS-A). Must have at least 3 to 5 years of supervisory experience.
- Must have a comprehensive knowledge governing regulations, policies, procedures and instructions in The Army Maintenance Management Systems (TAMMS).
- Must have knowledge in completing necessary documentation such as DA Forms 2404/5988E Equipment
- Inspection and Maintenance Worksheet, DA Form 2407 Maintenance Request, DA Form 24071 Maintenance Request Continuation Sheet, DA Form 7723 Maintenance Expenditure Limit Waiver, and other applicable DA/DoD forms.
- Must have the ability to analyze and interpret Army Technical Manuals with relation to vehicle maintenance and repairs.
- Must be proficient in using EMS-NG.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Former U.S. Army Maintenance Supervisor (MOS 63X or 91X) ideal preferred but not required.
- Three to five years Defense contracting experience supervising Army maintenance.
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 18 years of age
- Valid state driver's license
- Must be able to work in all types of weather conditions to include intense heat, heavy wind, blowing sand, heavy rain, and snow and sleet.
- Must be able to stand for a minimum two continuous hours.
- Must be able to climb on equipment in able to perform inspections of engines, transmissions and other vehicle components.
- Must be able to lift on an occasional basis a maximum of 70 pounds with frequent or constant lifting of 40 pounds.
- Must be a US Citizen or Permanent Resident for more than 3 years for CAC/ NACI eligibility
- Must pass pre-employment drug screen and criminal background check
