Assist the Retail Store Manager with the day-to-day operations of a retail store; provides work direction and supervisions to apprentices and leads
Essential Functions of the Job

• Handles routine customer service inquiries, complaints and questions; refer problems to Store Manager
• Trains all retail personnel assigned to the retail store
• Handles/oversees cash and daily receipts according to Agency policies
• Receives shipments from the main processing plant; checks merchandise against invoices and reports discrepancies and problems to the Store Manager
• Acts in the Store Manager's absence
• Enforces agency policies and procedures
• Provides loss prevention training as required.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

• Minimum Education (or substitute experience) required: GED or equivalent coursework
• Minimum Experience required: One year prior customer service or retail experience
• Cash handling and merchandising skills
• Basic Requirements:
• Ability to provide own transportation to work

• Skills and Abilities:
• Verbal and written English at a fifth grade level
• Recordkeeping skills
• Ability to provide supervision to others

Physical Requirements

• Requires occasional bending, twisting, reaching, pulling ,sitting, walking, and standing
• Lifting up to 50 pounds
• Inside work, normally 5 days a week, with some evening and weekend work
