Thresholds is seeking a highly skilled, energetic, and innovative Assistant Program Director for our Young Adult Transitional Living Programs (TLP) for young people experiencing a variety of mental health needs. The TLP programs include young adults referred from DCFS and young mothers and their children experiencing homelessness or from the DCFS system. The Assistant Program Director provides case management and administrative leadership for several teams of DCFS case managers within Thresholds TLP programs, participates in a multidisciplinary leadership team working to continually improve and enhance our models based on the latest evidence, and has the opportunity to engage in local and national learning communities regarding cutting edge mental health services for youth and young adults. The APD position requires a Master’s Degree in Psychology, Counseling, Social Work, or related field; LCSW/LCPC strongly preferred. The position also requires the candidate to have their CWEL license (DCFS child welfare license) and to be trained in Therapeutic Crisis Intervention. Both the CWEL license and TCI certification can be obtained through Thresholds after hire. Ideal candidate will have supervisory experience, experience with youth with DCFS involvement, and a passion for working with this population.
