Position Summary

The Assistant Production/Warehouse Manager serves our internal and external customers by managing our employees to established standards in order to ensure the safe, quality and efficient production of carbonated soft drinks. Maintain and improve warehousing and loading of products while improving system and process efficiency to help increase company sales and profits. In addition, being trained to perform the job duties of all management positions including Maintenance, Quality Control, Warehouse and Production Planning within the Operations team. Position will also provide coverage for these departments during absences at multiple locations within Director of Operations area of responsibility.

Position Functions

  • Oversees all Production and Warehouse systems and processes to ensure maximum operational efficiency is met during the shift assigned; makes recommendations for improvement and implements necessary changes.
  • Cross train in all areas of Production, Warehouse, Maintenance, and Quality Control to provide coverage for managers during vacancies or re-assignment.
  • Provide coverage across multiple locations within Director of Operations area of responsibility.
  • Ensures all operational parameters are maintained within the area of training.
  • Must be willing to travel to various locations for extended periods of time in Director of Operations area of responsibility.
  • Ensures that company policies, standards and procedures are met, followed and maintained in accordance with established company policy (e.g. safety and OSHA, PepsiCo and AIB standards, FCCS 2200, Federal/ State/Local laws, product rotation, loading procedures).
  • Communicates with co-workers and employees verbally and in writing regarding policy and procedure changes, departmental activities, operational feedback and other information.
  • Maintains confidentiality of financial information, quality guidelines, employee information (e.g. discipline, wage information), and other sensitive and confidential information.
  • Works assigned schedule, exhibits regular and predictable attendance and works outside of normal schedule as required to meet workload demands. Performs other related duties as required.


Skills and Abilities:

Education: High School Graduate or General Education Degree (GED) required.Associate's Degree (two year college or technical school) preferred
Experience: 3-5 years of previous Operations experience required; 1-3 years previous supervisory experience
Computer Skills: Microsoft Office Suite, Power BI
Other Requirements: Must be willing to travel to various locations for extended periods of time in Director of Operations area of responsibility. Knowledge of: beverage industry; food production process; Good Manufacturing Practices for Food Industry; material handling equipment; Advance Shipment Notification process; logistics; picking procedures; methods and techniques used in accident prevention and safety inspections.
Skill in: internal customer service; training and coaching.

Ability to: work quickly and efficiently; manage multiple and competing priorities; communicate effectively with internal customers and other employees both verbally and in writing; work quickly, efficiently and independently; adapt to change; deliver presentations to employees; train, develop, manage and lead a team; relate to and influence employees and co-workers; develop and maintain good working relationships; problem solve; delegate; operate a computer.
