JOB SUMMARY
This position is responsible for assisting the House Manger in providing quality management of a Community Living Services Residential Group Home including work direction to staff, fiscal management for consumers, implementing treatment plans, ensuring the home is in compliance with codes and licensing standards, ensuring that quality outcomes are achieved, and performing related duties as assigned.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Assist the House Manger in providing quality Management of residential group home.
- Provides work direction of staff including scheduling assigned duties, completing reports, and recommending disciplinary actions.
- Provides for the fiscal affairs of consumers and ensures that guidelines are followed regarding expenditures and related reports.
- Ensures that the home is in compliance with building codes and licensing standards and maintenance and or repairs of vehicle and home is completed in a timely manner.
- Ensures that quality outcomes are achieved.
- Prepares and maintains all consumer and home related records and reports according to VOASELA, Inc. and licensing regulations.
- Ensures that consumer medical appointments are scheduled and they are taken to their appointments.
- Prepares grocery lists according to menus and ensures that food purchases are done according to schedule.
- Reports complaints, incidents and accidents to Home Manager.
- Implements VOASELA, Inc. policies and procedures for safety, emergencies and disasters.
- Ensures that fire and disaster drills are conducted in a timely manner.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES
This position requires the incumbent to have completed education at the high school level and have two years of experience working with adults who have mental illness or developmental disabilities. Demonstrated ability providing leadership, money management, record keeping, must have excellent verbal and written communication skills.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
Physical requirements include sitting, standing, climbing, pushing, bending, squatting, lifting, and pulling. May be required to assist in moving consumers weighing up to 200lbs. Other physical requirements include:
- The ability to safely operate a motor vehicle to transport oneself, consumers, and program supplies as necessary.
- Move and lift light objects up to 30 pounds such as mail, supplies, files, and equipment.
- Operating office equipment requiring continuous or repetitive hand/arm movements.
