Job Summary:
The Assistant Director of Ticket Operations and Sales works under the direction of the Assistant Athletics Director of Marketing and Sales. The Assistant Director is a member of the University of San Francisco Athletic Department and works cooperatively with student-athletes, coaches, athletics department staff members, and University employees on ticket and business operations items. This Assistant Director will oversee all game day ticket operations, game day ticket staff, and ticket sales staff members. Additionally, this position is responsible for non-gameday ticket operations for the Athletics Department and will assist in revenue generation initiatives.

Full Job Description:

Job Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

Ticket Operations: Oversee the day-to-day coordination of ticket and sales processing, ticket distribution, financial reporting and event management. Game day and customer service

Responsible for overseeing financial reporting for all sales processed through the Ticket Office including revenue reports, game settlements, and audits for review for all sports. Responsible for providing timely report of year to date performance for all revenues processed through the ticket office. Responsible for processing and reconciling all ticket sales completed by the Ticket Office and Ticket Sales team, in person and online. Manage the printing and distribution of tickets during normal business hours and at all home events. Develop and implement timelines, mailings and other communications for season ticket renewals and any other related material for all ticket accounts. Act as the primary liaison between the Athletics Department and ticketing customers. This position will also serve as the liaison between the Athletics Department and the ticketing software company and the ticket scanner software provider. Responsible for hiring, training, scheduling, and supervising ticket office student staff for ticketed sports and special events Ensure budget requirements are met as it relates to ticketing expenses and ticketing staff scheduling. Manage the distribution of all group ticket sales for home events. Manage outside partnerships such as the department ticketing software provider and ticket stock producer. Distribute, manage, and reconcile tickets sales for away games, post season, tournaments, etc. Implement customer service policies, procedures and standards. Maintain proper internal controls with regards to cash handling, PCI compliance, and other Athletics department and University (Office of Accounting and Business Services) established policy. Ensure all ticketing procedures and policies are being followed in accordance with NCAA and WCC guidelines. Play primary role in implementing any new ticketing software that may be installed by the Athletics Department

Ticket Sales: Assist with implementing strategies to hit yearly ticket sales and ticket revenue goals.

Assist with outbound ticket sales strategy to increase season ticket, single game, and group ticket sales revenue. Coordinate the hiring, training, and oversight of inside sales staff. Create and prepare sales scripts and sales collateral. Monitor and report ticket sales staff performance to the Assistant Athletics Director of Marketing and Sales. Report detailed sales figures and progress toward ticket revenue goals regularly to the Business Office and Assistant Athletics Director of Marketing and Sales. Assist in implementing Marketing and Sales efforts as directed by the Assistant Athletics Director of Marketing and Sales.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree required, Masters preferred and at least 1 year of related experience. Ideal candidate will have prior ticket and ticket sales experience in a college setting. Prior experience with ticketing software (including NeuLion, TicketsWest, and/or Paciolan) is preferred. Candidate must demonstrate outstanding administrative and organizational skills with high attention to detail and accuracy. Strong computer skills (i.e. Microsoft Office) are required. Must be able to set priorities, coordinate multiple projects, meet deadlines, and work with minimal supervision. Candidate should have strong time management skills with the ability to work in a dynamic, fast-paced environment. Candidate must have effective oral and written communication skills. Prior management experience in a team setting preferred. Candidate is responsible for understanding and upholding the mission, values and goals of the Athletic Department and University of San Francisco.
