Job Description

We’re looking for assistant bakery manager to join our team in our brand new kitchen! Our ideal candidate is attentive, ambitious, and engaged. The assistant bakery manager will work directly under our pastry chef with responsibilities including but not limited to: filling in when the head baker is not present, assigning tasks/prep lists for the day, ensuring items are prepared correctly and in a timely manner, making sure the kitchen is tidy, and other day to day tasks that may come up. Quality control is key.

Daily Operations:

• Mix, shape, bake breads
• Assist bakers in executing the operational tasks in the bakery
• Produce muffin/scone mixes and batters
• Prepare baked goods to be baked such as cookies and cupcakes
• Clean and maintain work area/utensils
• Knowledge of conventional/convection ovens
• Knowledge of standard mixing methods
• Ability to lift 50 lbs
• Ability to stand for 8+ hours
• Decorating abilities
• Servsafe Certification a plus

Schedule:

• 8 hour shift
• Early morning-Mid afternoon
• Some holidays
• Monday to Friday and/or Weekends

Experience: 2 years baking or culinary school required

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From $16.00 per hour
