Dependent on rank (Assistant, Associate, Full Professor), appointment requires the demonstration of (potential for) independence in research as substantiated by, in some combination a profile of evidence (and further promise) of publication in peer-reviewed journals, the (potential for or) award of competitive fellowships or grants, presentations at scientific meetings, scientific peer review, editorial service, and other markers of research and innovation. The successful candidate(s) will be expected to build collaborative relationships within DFCM with clinical faculty, and community partners. They will also be expected to mentor a growing group of clinical colleagues interested in clinical research, of junior research colleagues, of residents with a research interest, and/or of students from affiliated academic health sciences programs in the context of the candidate(s) evolving research programs.
