Turning Point Community Programs is seeking an Assessment Clinician (Formerly known as: Personal Service Coordinator III) for our Urgent Care Program in Sacramento. GENERAL PURPOSE Responsible for assisting community members with an urgent mental health need. The program intends to avert psychiatric emergency room visits and involuntary hospitalizations. The goal of MHUCC is to foster recovery for individuals and families through the promotion of hope and wellness. DISTINGUISHING CHARACTERISTICS This is an at-will direct service position within a program. The position is responsible for assisting and advocating for our members in crisis with an urgent mental health need. Schedule: Monday - Friday 1:00 pm - 9:30 pm MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS AND CERTIFICATIONS & LICENSES Education, Training and Experience: A typical way of obtaining the knowledge, skills and abilities outlined above is through graduation from an accredited college or university with a master’s degree in Social Work or related field and two (2) years varied experience as a provider of mental health services; valid registration with the Board of Behavioral Sciences (BBS).
