JOB SUMMARY
Guides, assists and supports coworkers and performs repetitive assembly operations such as wire harness fabrication, cable assembly, control module assembly, wire and connector crimping, and wire identification. Supports mass-production of products such as galleys, closets, VCC’s, overhead bins, sidewalls, ceiling panels, etc. for commercial transport aircraft. Must be able to work within the time constraints of the master production schedule and meet requirements dictated by the customer.

- Promotes cooperation and positive communication with coworkers
- Required to use and read blueprints, wiring diagrams and verbal and written work instructions to assemble or rework components
- Studies plans and engineering drawings to determine work aids required and sequence of assemblies
- Understands production schedule and ensures work is completed on time to meet company objectives & customer demands
- Maintains safe and effective use of all machine and hand tools in the electrical area
- Understands the requirements of using calibrated tools when specified
- Maintains a clean and safe work environment and minimizes waste of materials
- Ensures materials being used are specific to approved work orders, engineering drawings and specifications
- Avoids unsightly, hazardous, and unreliable wiring, that is not consistent with engineering specifications, drawings and/or appropriate codes
- Measures, cuts, threads, and assembles electrical routing materials
- Splices wires by stripping insulation from terminal leads and applying terminal caps
- Connects wiring to electrical fixtures and equipment
- Assembles control and distribution apparatus such as switches, relays and circuit breaker panels
- Reports any defect to quality assurance and manufacturing engineers
- Exhibits all effort required to ensure first time quality
- Prepares and organizes tools and materials for use in the area
- Cleans work area, machines, tools, and equipment
- Places parts in specified relationship to each other
- Prepares and organizes tools and parts for use in the assembly area
- Requisitions stockroom parts as required
- Performs acceptance test procedures (ATP) as required
- Works at different workstations as production needs require
- Tasks vary as different units’ complete certain phases of production
- Perform other duties as assigned
GENERAL QUALIFICATIONS – Education, Knowledge, and Experience
Education:
- A High School Diploma is required.
- A two year college (Associate's Degree), Trade/Technical School or certification is desired.
Experience:
- A minimum of 1 - 3 years of direct experience.

- Must be authorized to work in the United States. Extended or irregular hours may be required.
