Ascension is looking for an Armed Security Guard to support our

brand new state of the art Mail Order Pharmacy facility!

Full Time | Nights (5:00 pm - 5:00 am) | Good Health Solutions, Austin, TX

What You Will Do:

Provide security services to ensure a safe environment for staff and visitors.

• Perform proactive monitoring of and timely responses to potential/actual security threats.
• Investigate, document and manage security incidents and hazards.
• Maintain knowledge/follow policies and procedures regarding alarms and emergency/disaster preparedness plans. May facilitate planned drills and simulations.
• Provide information and assistance to staff and visitors to promote safety.

What You Will Need:

Licensure / Certification / Registration:

• Security Guard specializing in Weapon Permit obtained within 90 days of hire date or job transfer date.
• BLS Provider specializing in Basic Life Support credentialed from the American Heart Association (AHA) obtained within 90 days of hire or job transfer date.
• Driver’s License from the Texas Department of Public Safety preferred.
• Management of Aggressive Behavior credentialed from the
• Management of Aggressive Behavior Training International, Inc preferred.
• Security Professional credentialed from the Texas Department of Public Safety preferred.

Education:

• High school diploma or GED required, Bachelor's degree in a related field preferred

Experience:

• 2 years related experience preferred.
• 1 year related leadership experience preferred.
• Law Enforcement, Corrections or Military experience preferred.
