ArcGIS Developer/Analyst (Remote)
POWER Engineers, Inc. – Portfolio Management Information Solutions (PMIS) Department has an immediate opening for a full-stack ArcGIS Developer/Analyst. The ArcGIS Developer/Analyst position is responsible for managing and maintaining GIS artifacts and associated Esri technology for POWER’s portfolio management collaboration platform called POWER360. POWER360 is a cloud-based proprietary application built by integrating off-the-shelf software (ArcGIS is one of them) with some custom-developed tools. This position requires extensive hands-on experience in the entire suite of ArcGIS tools, geodata administration, monitoring system performance, and troubleshooting issues.
The ArcGIS Developer/Analyst will be responsible for designing new geospatial solutions to meet customer requirements, maintaining current and future GIS applications, integrating various GIS systems, and providing technical guidance to non-technical clients.
This position is posted in Boise, Idaho; but the successful candidate can work remotely from any location in the U.S. (Please state your location in the application).
Role & Responsibilities
- Author, publish, serve, curate, and administer GIS content to publish to the ArcGIS platform
- Curate project GIS content both on-premise and in the cloud
- Access data via APIs and off-the-shelf tools
- Support migration of external client content to ArcGIS
- Be able to automate workflows, data, and editing operations
- Be familiar with production ArcGIS Pro editing operations
- Perform basic editing operations
Required Education/Experience
- Technology, Geography, or related degree required
- Post-Degree training and knowledge currency
- At least 10 years in the GIS consulting business
- ArcGIS Components
- Portal for ArcGIS and ArcGIS Online (5 years)
- ArcGIS Pro (4 years)
- ArcGIS Data Store (2 years)
- ArcGIS Apps (5 years):
- Field Maps, Survey123, Collector, Navigator, etc.
- Experience authoring, publishing, serving, training, and supporting.
- ArcGIS APIs experience (4 years):
- High-level APIs
- Python API for ArcGIS
- JavaScript API for ArcGIS
- Arcade
- ArcPy
- Legacy ArcGIS Stack (10 years):
- ArcGIS Desktop 10x
- ArcGIS APIs: ArcObjects, ArcPy, web APIs
- ArcGIS Server
- Geodatabase:
- SQL Server or Oracle
- Administer, author, publish and serve
- Read, write and implement high-level SQL
- Data Management (10 years):
- Knowledge of GIS data formats, patterns, and APIs
- Geodata migration patterns:
