Aquila's Aquatics Supervisor ensures a successful aquatics program at an Aquila managed health/fitness center.

Responsibilities include:

  • Hire, train, and supervise all lifeguards and swim instructors
  • Maintain work schedules and ensure proper staffing for all aquatics personnel
  • Ensure safety regulations are enforced
  • Assist with management of vendors related to pool maintenance
  • Address team member questions and concerns.
  • Ensure the club provides high levels of customer service, consistent cleanliness, friendly service and respond to member feedback.
  • Deliver relevant and effective coaching, training, feedback and performance management directly to team members.
  • Meet all key metrics in sales, revenue, retention and cost management.
  • Ensure the maintenance, cleanliness and safety of all equipment
  • Adhere to company and club policies and procedures
  • Adhere to client’s policies and procedures
  • Attend staff meetings
  • Assist in wellness and fitness promotions and external events
  • Administrative or other responsibilities as related to the position

Qualifications:

  • 1-2 years of management experience (preferred)
  • Physical demands include ability to regularly walk through all areas of the club, and bending and lifting (e.g., picking up towels, restacking of weights, moving of equipment as necessary)
  • Must be able to work full-time hours necessitated by business need, as scheduled by the GM
  • AED/CPR Certified
  • BA or BS degree (preferred)
