The plumbing apprentice is responsible for assisting plumbers by performing duties such as installing plumbing systems, making repairs, and diagnosing minor plumbing issues. This position will assist in plumbing procedures. Preferred/Required Experiences 1 or more years of plumbing experience OSHA10 Safety Certification Must have excellent communication skills with customers and co-workers Valid driver’s license and good driving record High school diploma or GED equivalent Must be well-groomed, drug-free and able to pass a criminal background check and physical Knowledge of tools, equipment and inventory systems. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Attend daily/weekly safety briefings. Maintain proper PPE to perform job duties. Always maintain safe working conditions. Assist in installing and maintaining plumbing systems. Assemble and install valves and fittings. Install systems used to transport water, waste, gases, or liquids. Measure, cut, thread, and bend pipe. Test pipe systems and test leaks. Coordinate with Master Plumber on installation. Determine water supply networks and waste drainage systems. Install supports and hangers for pip, fixtures and equipment. Assemble pipe sections, tubing and fittings, using couplings, clamps, screws, bolts, cement, plastic solvent, caulking, or soldering, brazing and welding equipment.
