Application Manager - Workday Details

The People Core team is responsible for building integrated, scalable, and robust HR applications for Meta employees. We are currently looking for an experienced, creative, and passionate Application Manager with a strong background supporting the employee lifecycle in Workday. The individual will have the ability to manage and grow the platform, support critical programs across the company, and drive impactful change in a rapidly evolving organization. As a member of the team, you will play a key role in defining the future-state of the employee journey at Meta.


Application Manager - Workday Responsibilities:

  • Ownership of the hire-to-retire lifecycle in Workday
  • Plan and lead cross-functional efforts for Workday product launches
  • Continuously elevate the employee experience and optimize interactions with Workday
  • Represent the Workday platform across the landscape of HR applications
  • Partner with business leaders and People Engineering teams to align on objectives and programs
  • Lead the research, design, development, testing, and delivery of new Workday functionality
  • Drive stability & scalability within the operational support team
  • Guide the maturation of the Workday infrastructure & security framework through a data-driven demand management process



Minimum Qualifications:
  • 5+ years experience implementing or managing solutions in Workday
  • 4+ years experience configuring Workday HCM, with demonstrated functional and technical experience
  • 2+ years experience supporting other Workday products (Recruiting, Compensation, Talent, Performance, Prism, Learning)
  • HR domain expertise and experience translating business objectives into technical solutions
  • Experience thriving in a complex & technically ambiguous environment
  • Experience proactively focusing on quality and execution in a move-fast culture



Preferred Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science
  • Workday Pro certification in a relevant HCM track
  • Experience defining best practices and standardization in partnership with HR stakeholders
  • Sophisticated understanding of different integration technologies and custom tools leveraging Workday APIs
